Hello! It's me!

Hi, I'm Allie (she/her). I'm a certified ADHD career coach, HR consultant and writer based in Surrey, UK.

I help ADHD and AuDHDers to embrace their strengths and create a life and career that works for them.

I also work with forward thinking businesses who want to create magical places for people to work, where everyone's contributions, communications styles and ways of working are valued.

I'm so pleased you're here, and this is where I share a bit more about me!

My values

Everything I do starts with kindness. I am forever curious, never assuming. I try to be honest, present and authentic. I love finding creative ways to approach challenges and I look for joy, always.

My story

For my whole adult life, I didn’t understand myself. It felt like I was watching my life from the outside and never quite getting an invitation inside.

I struggled with making friends, sticking at jobs and for a long time, my self-esteem was at rock bottom. I spent decades just trying to push through to do all the things I thought I 'should' be doing. On the outside, I looked successful and worked hard to reach a senior level in my work but inwardly, I was exhausted, confused, lonely and struggled with constant anxiety and depression.

My turning point came when I joined a gorgeous online co-working space after starting my HR consultancy where I hoped to find connection with others who were looking for a slower pace of life. A chance meeting in that group with someone who shared their recent ADHD diagnosis changed everything as I slowly started to make the connections with my own story.

 â€‹

So, just after turning 40, I was officially diagnosed with ADHD, then a year later as autistic and I finally had that invitation to come in and make myself at home.

I’ve spent such a lot of my life feeling like I'm being left behind, someone who can't just get on and do things like everyone else when I was just trying to function in an environment that didn’t work for me. And I know now that I'm far from alone, there are so many brilliant AuDHDers out here doing amazing things and creating space for us all to be who we are in the world.

On my way to understanding myself properly, I had neuro-affirming therapy and then ADHD coaching and it changed my life in all the best ways. I knew that I wanted to help other people who might be feeling the same way, to hold space and let them find their way home too.

I've worked in people management for around 10 years but before that, I had a LOT of different jobs because I didn't know what I wanted to do, what I was good at or how to move forward. Plus, I'd get bored. A lot. So, I really do understand the frustrations of being an ADHD/AuDHDer navigating the workplace and why I have a particular love for helping other people to find more joy at work, and beyond.

Personal things...

I am a massive homebody, I love spending time in my own little world with my husband and our miniature schnauzer, Dottie.

We adopted Dottie two years ago, hoping she would be a lovely therapy dog for me but she is also very anxious so we navigate the harder days together with snuggles under our weighted blankets.

My favourite things (currently) are:

  • Forest walks

  • Learning to sew (I made myself a coat that I am very proud of)

  • Coffee in my favourite handmade mug

  • Claudia Winkleman

  • Reading in bed

  • Learning about ADHD, autism, feminism and rest
